Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it lands.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
